One thing leads to another

I was out shooting an assignment that included Philadelphia architecture. That brought me to the top of the Philadelphia Art Museum steps. As I was waiting for the late afternoon light to get nice and soft a whole group of people came running up the steps like Rocky. This happens every three minutes or so, all day, everyday. Kind of like Philadelphia's version of Old Faithful. So, of course, I start shooting and I keep shooting. I had the camera on a tripod set to a pretty slow shutter speed. Pretty common for shooting buildings that hopefully aren't moving in low light. But the slow shutter speeds allowed the Rocky imitators to show movement and get a bit blurred and I really think it makes this shot. I didn't think it was anything special when I took it but as I started experimenting with it the next morning I really began to like it. Then I remembered a great quote from the last Rocky movie and this is what I've come up with. Still not sure if it's completely finished but I do like it. It's a picture that I had no intention of making but all of the pieces unexpectedly came together to make this. Pretty neat.
